The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good value for money.
Travelling with a friend so it was good that there were two beds.

We stayed overnight as my husband was going to the Bruce Springsteen concert in Sunderland.
We had a sea front room overlooking the green.
The facilities in the room were first class. Everything was in pristine condition and the owner Maria was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She put the heating on so we could dry our clothes which was kind.
We had plenty of tea and coffee and one double bed and one single. There was also a fridge and an iron and ironing board.
The weather was atrocious so when my husband took the Metro to the concert I stayed in the room overlooking the front reading and relaxing as it was far too wet and windy to venture far sadly so I didn't see the best of the town.
The breakfast was wonderful, especially if you had a long journey home as we did.

Very comfortable- 3separate bedrooms. Very good value for money, lots of parking and everything we needed in the caravan. Owner was easy to contact and had left a basic food pack - biscuits, etc.
Nice having a slope and terrace entrance as easier than steps on some units

The weather was so bad that I don't think we saw the best of the town.
However the front is very clean and there are a few shops in the town centre plus a cinema and a concert hall.
It is a good place to use as a base to visit other places and the bus service is very good if you don't have a car.

I was disappointed there wasn’t a tourist information office but the library staff were very helpful as was the guest house owner.
I enjoyed visiting the landmarks and just walking along the coast. The Jam Jar cinema was also worth a visit.

Whitley Bay is an up and coming town with some lovely shops.
Whitley Bay is an up and coming town with some lovely shops. It also has easy access to Newcastle and the surrounding area by road and by Metro. In the summer Whitley Bay is busy but in the winter it is much quieter.
I have visited this town many times while visiting my daughter. On this occasion my visit was not a holiday; I was helping my daughter to move house.
From outside the Windsor looks run down and sorry for itself, once inside though......it is clean, spacious.
The rooms are large, clean and have all you need, the bathrooms have a bath and shower.
The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The Windsor Hotel is a nice place to stay, just ignore the the exterior or the building.
I would recommend any day. The prices are reasonable which is a bonus these days.
I will be staying again.
Whitley bay is gorgeous and The Metropolitan is so close to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants but in a quiet street with parking.
Ordering breakfast was easy and lots of choice for something a bit more special. It was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with friendly, helpful service.
I couldn’t fault anything if I wanted to. It is the best place I’ve ever stopped in in the North East.
Great welcome, very accommodating - gave me extra tea bags! Parking was easy as full at hotel but cheap parking just a minute walk away. Had a quiet single room. A little dated but comfy and I wanted for nothing. And hotel right on the front next to the sea
Paul and Lee were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Also, best breakfast ever. Free on-street parking on the Esplanade extremely rare in Whitley Bay.
Really enjoyed our stay, really lovely hotel, very comfortable and extremely clean, very welcoming and friendly staff, great location, breakfast was excellent....if we are ever in the area again I won't be looking for anywhere else to stay.
The location of this Hotel is great, right on the front. The other reason we picked this hotel, was because it is dog friendly. The room itself was quite spaciousand was very clean, a tray of tea and coffee provided.
Breakfast was 5 star, staff service was 5 star, location 5 star, room amenities were exactly what we needed and the room was to a good standard of cleanliness. Thanks for a great stay!
The hotel is well located for everything in Whitley Bay. Breakfast was top quality and the room had lots of nice touches that many hotels miss. The welcome was friendly and helpful.
Very clean bathroom, with plenty of hot water. Room had a fabulous view. Very centrally located. Good car parking near. Great breakfast served by a very lovely lady.
My stay at Windsor hotel was quite relaxed, very good deal for the money, and staff was very friendly and promptly ready for any questions or drinks at the bar.
Spotlessly clean, with all the comforts of home, close to a beautiful beach, good eateries, and bars, with the Metro to Newcastle, just 10 minutes walk away.
